WHAT'S NEW:

New Studio A.D. has released their first work in a line of new functional art multiples titled, ‘There Are No Mistakes’.  The functional art/custom light fixture was inspired by an original work of art created by New Studio A.D. member, Melissa Roberts.  While in her studio preparing for an upcoming exhibition of her conceptually based works titled, ‘The Living Room’, she found herself destroying the armature for a 48 inch tall teacup that had gone awry.  As she reached down to retrieve what she had intended to discard in the recycling bin, she saw a potential second life for her teacup ‘mistake’ in a newly discovered floor lamp now sitting in front of her.

New Studio A.D. has begun an archive review of past art exhibitions and installations of works by members, Kurt Schlough and Melissa Roberts, to use as inspiration for the creation of new product lines which include custom light fixtures and textiles.

The ‘There Are No Mistakes’ custom light fixture has approximate dimensions of 24”H x 31"W x 20"D inches, may be plugged into any US standard 110V electrical outlet and utilizes a standard 60 watt light bulb. The functional art piece may be used interchangeably as a floor lamp or a suspended pendant light fixture.  The retail price is $200.00 for the version as pictured above in its original bright silver galvanized steel finish/color.  Shipping + handling is determined at the time of shipment based on your delivery location and preferred shipment method.  Each piece is unique and created individually by hand. Since each is an original work of functional art, each piece will vary slightly in size and shape.  ‘There Are No Mistakes’ is created upon order and has a delivery turnaround time of 4 weeks from the date of order.  Orders may be placed directly by sending us an email.  A list of retail locations where the fixture may be purchased will be available in the near future.
